2004 Mercury Marauder

View Description

This is one of those rare birds in the used specialty vehicle market - one owner, with a clear Carfax that shows all previous maintenance records. Garage-kept since new, this Marauder was never 'marauded in' - the owner's pride and joy since new, it has been lovingly kept in near-new condition. The 2004 Marauder is the final run in the third use of the Marauder moniker, which only ran for the 2003-2004 model years. Initially only offered in the sinister blacked-out version (which most are familiar with), Mercury added a dark blue version (2003 only), and the Silver Birch and Dark Toreador Red (with the red only available in 2004). Mercury only produced 3214 Marauders in 2004, with 1237 of them in the ubiquitous black, just 997 in Silver Birch, and 980 in the Dark Toreador Red for 2004.

From Ford Performance's site: 'In the hopes of expanding the Marauder's appeal in 2004, Mercury offered more standard features and expanded color availability for its big performance sedan. Traction control and Ford's Audiophile entertainment system were now included on Marauder, and improved shift response was delivered with an upgrade to Ford's 4R75W four-speed automatic transmission. While it never quite reached the cult...

1948 Mercury Eight

View Description

This wonderful 1948 Mercury Sedan was meticulously assembled and cared for by a national AACA judge and organizer and the details show it! This was the last of the pre-war designs to be phased out by FOMOCO along with the 48 Ford bodies this really was a last of its kind. Known for hot flat head V8 motors and great for the time fuel economy, the 1948 Mercury didnt skimp in design either. Sporting a more detailed grill and trim than its down line Ford cousin, the 1948 Mercury really was cutting out a segment in the mid price category. Only 50,268 Mercury Eights were produced, and today they are hardly ever out and about you...

1950 Mercury Coupe

View Description

The Mercury 'Eight' was produced by the Ford motor company from 1938 and 1951. The original Eight was made to fit between the market gaps that the Ford Deluxe and the Lincoln were not hitting. Known mostly for being popular with Hotrodders and everyday garage mechanics it was better known as the 'Lead Sled'. The style and attitude of these massive full sized cars are thought of whenever the 50's decade or car culture is thought of. This stunning example has been fitted with an ever reliable and easy to modify 350CID v8 with a Turbo 350 Automatic Transmission to power it along. This car rolled into our showroom with 10,280 Undocumented miles on the clock. The roof has been chopped considerably with lines undetectable to any eye. It has been modified tastefully and the roofline has been lowered well. The paint on this Sled is in decent shape with some small cracks forming near the bottom of the rear. The red interior is in comfortable and well taken care of, carpet is...
