The STAGE1 was a bit of a humble legend in the muscle car world when it arrived. Although its GM brethren motor divisions were producing cars like GTO, Chevelle SS and 4-4-2-s, that didn't mean Buick was standing pat. In fact, the GS400 got standard functional hood scoops for '69, something none of its higher-profile corporate siblings had. The 'Cool Air' induction system used a twin-snorkel air cleaner with two foam muffs that sealed against the scoop openings. Some local circles even dubbed the car -The Judge Killer-.

New for 1969 were the STAGE1 and STAGE2 options on these iconic muscle cars. STAGE1 boosted output to 345 bhp. It had a high-lift cam, 11. 0:1 compression instead of 10. 25:1, a special carburetor and fuel pump, and larger low-restriction exhausts. The original, numbers matching engine for this GS STAGE1 sits on an engine stand and will come with the GS if you decide to add this beauty to your collection. Currently under the hood is a 1971 455cid that has been completely rebuilt to STAGE1 specs with roughly 10,000 miles on the overhaul. This 1967 Firebird is an absolute eye-catcher! Upon its release in 1967, the Pontiac Firebird was a success allowing it to flourish in the muscle car market with its Camaro cousin. Under the hood of this Firebird is an impressive numbers matching 326 CID V8 that has just over 45,000 actual miles. This potent V8 is matted to a super smooth shifting 2-speed automatic transmission. The 326 CID V8 has retained just about all of its originality including the original carburetor, intake manifold, and it still has the exhaust manifolds. This Firebird is sporting Nordic Blue paint, which is the original color on this Pontiac muscle car. This car was built by a professional auto body worker that took his time to make every angle meticulously well finished. He used it as his own personal car to showcase his craftsmanship. The exterior of the car is coated in a gorgeous Inferno Orange PPG paint. The paint has a metallic gold flake that really pops in the sunlight; both the base and clear have three coats. Looking inside the Pontiac you'll see a custom, airbrushed Firebird on the glove box. The rest of the interior is comprised of black leather buckets seats, new black headliner, new dash pad, and custom white face gauges that look amazing lit up at night. This Nova is an immediate eye catcher thanks to a beautiful Radiant Red paint and a set of polished aluminum wheels. Further complimenting the exterior are SS badges, hood inserts and hood pins. The ride height is just right too. The front end has been rebuilt including new coil springs, out back is a new set of air shocks and traction bars. Under the hood there is a GM 5. 3 liter fuel injected V8 Vortec engine. The GM Vortec engine has advanced modern design with overhead cams and plenty of power. It is also fitted headers and a full length custom exhaust system. The exhaust has a nice rumble to it but is not overly loud. The transmission is also a later model 4 speed 4L60 automatic and the rear end gears are 4. 11s for a quick stoplight pull away.

The exterior of this car is very nice with straight sheet metal and a high gloss finish in stunning Ferrari Red. All the chrome, trim and bright work is in good condition and complements the red paint as it should. You better have your shades on when you look at this beauty in the sun! From the photos, you may have noticed the wheels-they are massive 26 inch Forgiato-s with Desert Storm tires.
