This one owner Trans AM has had a frame off and rebuild. Thee 455 Olds engine was balanced by Digger Don Machine Shop. This power house was bored, stroked, honed, and decked. The heads were polished and ported by Eagle Machine. The Edelbrock intake Eagle camshaft, and roller tip rockers, finish off this well built Machine. Mondello Oldsmobile provided the best internal parts to wrap up this warp speed ship. The harmonic balancer and inertia flex plate can handle the horsepower as well as the built 350 transmission with hardened extra clutches. The B&M deep oil pan will keep the parts lubed and the MSD ingnition system, MSD box, MSD wires, blaster coil, and distributor will keep the electricity running the system and your adrenal glands. Under the hood of this beauty is a Pontiac 400 CID V8 that was rebuilt roughly 8,000 miles ago. Thanks to that fresh rebuild, the engine pulls well and provides the muscle that GTOs are known for. Sending the power rearward is a rebuilt four-speed Muncie transmission with about 1,000 miles on it. The transmission shifts extremely well through the gears providing the driver with just the right amount of feedback withought being too stiff through the new Hurst shifter. Other new driveline components include the flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing. The rear end on the car is a ten-bolt geard to a 3. 08 ratio which provides plenty of top end for highway cruising. The engine is kept cool by a brand new aluminum radiator which was fitted very recently. Overall, this powertrain is very well put together and certainly provides the driver with an authentic muscle car feel.
