Originally from Hawaii, this potent Pontiac sported a 400 CID V8 engine choked down by the emissions controls of the day making this bird casually glide, rather than gloriously soar. After being brought to the mainland, the current owner decided to make this Pontiac possess the power it should have had from the factory. With the numbers-matching block, a 461CID V8 was built to pump up power to the next level. Although it is still designed to be a street car, measures were taken to help keep this newly attained power properly planted. First, making sure all of the suspension was up to snuff was obligatory for future performance. A spool rear end was installed to keep both wheels spinning during any loss of traction.
The interior is mostly original with some refurbished components, but you won-t find any roll cage or aftermarket seats; the cabin is all Pontiac. A recent repaint brings back the original Carousel Red in all of its former glory. Once the engine gets a chance to be warmed up to operating temperature, this monster is unstoppable.
