1975 Porsche 914

View Description

This 1975 Porsche 914 1. 8L features a recently completed and well documented 5-year long comprehensive restoration and mechanical refresh. The finished product is a well thought out blend of technical enhancements and driver comfort modernization. The build started with a well-maintained and rust-free southern California car. The body was stripped to bare metal and repainted. The front nose is protected by a professionally installed clear bra. The stock 1. 8L engine is a complete rebuild with numerous upgrades. These include 96mm forged JE pistons and liners, light-weight Pauter 911 connecting rods, slightly modified cam (maintains factory 1. 8L valve settings), re-Machined heads to 8. 1:1 compression (93 octane recommended), and balanced flywheel. A HD 911 clutch was also mated to a partially rebuilt transmission (1st gear cluster). A Rennshift performance shifter was installed to provide smoother shifting with a tighter 5-speed shift gate. A NACA air duct is discretely located on the passenger side rocker panel which routes fresh air directly across an auxiliary oil cooler fitted with a thermostatically controlled fan. This set-up ensures correct oil operating temperatures even on the hottest days. A high-performance center positioned dual exhaust was installed that is a modern tribute to the Boxster....

1976 Porsche 914

View Description

0! Pushing into the late 60s Porsche was ready to unveil some new models. One of those aging models was the 912. With assistance from Gugelot Design the 914 came to life. Use of the outside design was to appeal to both Porsche and Volkswagen as to not diminish either brand with similar looking models. The 914 would see production up to 1976. The dark red paint shows well and contrasts well with the black targa top. Inside the black vinyl seats match the top and are in good order. Powering this Porsche is a 2. 0L Fuel Injected 4-cylinder engine. Power runs down through a 5-Speed Manual gearbox making this one fun ride! Current owner has had her for over 9 years, acquired from a local private owner and believed to be a 4-owner car since...

1973 Porsche 914

View Description

Unique by any standards, there are not many of these Porsches that have lived to see the 2000s, as their low curb weight and balanced performance made them the perfect vehicle for autocross or the track. There are very few of these left in original condition, or even close to it, and we are lucky enough to feature one.

Originally intended to be both a product of Volkswagen and Porsche, with the 914/4 (4-cylinder model) being marketed as a Volkswagen and the 914/6 (6-cylinder model) being marketed as a Porsche. The plan fell through, however, with the death of Volkswagen-s chairman Heinz Nordhoff. His successor, Kurt Lotz, was not part of the Porsche legacy, so the verbal agreement between the two automotive manufacturers fell apart, leaving Porsche alone in its venture and thus raising the cost of the 914/6 significantly. The increase in price meant poor sales numbers for 914/6, but the lower price tag of the 914/4 was a recipe for success, even with the Big Three in Detroit fighting tooth and nail in the horsepower race that was ensuing. The 914 was a breath of fresh air.

By 1973, the 914/6 had been discontinued after a production run of...

1974 Porsche 914

View Description

This little sports car comes from years of proven racing history & performance! Notably - the GT version of this car claimed victory in the GTS class during the 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans, and claimed 6th overall in the championship -' the same year it was considered Import Car of the Year by Motor Trend. With only 23,512 actual miles on the odometer and a black paintjob and interior that is in great shape, this 914 is a great representation of the Porsche Pedigree. This numbers matching car is equipped with AC, AM/FM radio, CD player, and removable hard-top. The interior of this Porsche 914 was refurbished around 2010 and exterior was repainted in 2005. The AC was rebuilt in 2014 -' the same time when new tires were added to the unique Mahle...
