This gorgeous all steel two door is super straight and solid from top to bottom. There has been extensive but subtle body modifications done to take this street rod to the next level. The door handle have been shaved and operate remotely. The front and rear bumpers have been shaved as well as having a hideaway license plate to help in accentuating the big flowing lines of the fenders. Powering this street rod is a 350 cubic inch Chevrolet engine backed by a turbo 350 automatic transmission. Holding this classic combo in place is a 1984 Chevrolet S10 chassis along with the master cylinder and complete brake system from the S10. This one has been tastefully street rodded to be more comfortable, powerful, and safe than it would've been in 1959. The first step was to weld in sub frames from a Camaro both front and rear to set up modern suspension. This greatly improves the ride and helps with safety when running at speed. This one would've been born with a 283 but now a new 350 Tuned Port Injected V8. It is not a rebuild, but a brand new Chevrolet built 350 V8 purchased from a dealer. The engine mates up perfectly to the 700R4 automatic transmission which makes this a great highway truck as well as one that can put you back in your seat. The truck is finished in a beautiful Autumn Maple color which has been professionally laid. Perhaps the best part of these old trucks is the beautiful wood bed which looks like a piece of finely crafted furniture. It's sitting on a nice set of polished wheels wrapped in radial tires. This one is a 1949 Chevrolet two door with a very custom look. The roof line has been altered with a 4' chop to give a 'fastback' look. To add to the aggressive look it sits on 3' drop spindles for that slammed look. The headlights are incredibly unique, any guesses? Those are from a 1958 Lincoln. To make an absolutely unmistakable front end, a DeSoto grill has been placed between the Lincoln headlights. The car is finished in jet black which gives it a sinister look, but some subtle flame work on the side keep things interesting. Blue and red flame silhouettes break up the black sides and scream hot rod. The customer touches continue in the rear with stacked Cadillac tail lights. Under the hood this led sled sports a 350 CID V8 with three deuces sitting on top. Three 2-Barrel carbs are tuned in nicely to really make this one sing.
