The C/K series has been a staple of the GM lineup since 1960. Their full sized truck platform ranged from short wheelbase half tons to medium duty semis. This particular model is a C20 which is the 3/4 ton variant which sits on heavy duty leaf springs in all four corners. Powering this beast is a newer 350 CID V8 which sounds mean. It has a TurboHydramatic 350 automatic transmission which shifts smoothly. The best part of this rig is the 4x4 works great. It has a Dana 60 rear end with 4:10 final drive ratio. It is sitting on a nice set of Mickey Thompson wheels with 315/75/16 tires which works out to 35' diameter. This isn't your typical Corvette though, this one has been treated to a twin turbo kit from Gale Banks Engineering. Originally this L-82 Corvette produced only 210 horsepower. Now thanks to Gale Banks Engineering, it is now producing 520 horsepower! According to Banks, this will propel the Corvette down the quarter mile in under 12 seconds at 125 mph. Aside from the alcohol cooled twin turbos, the engine also received mild porting to the heads and polished combustion chambers, roller rockers, high flow fuel pump, HEI ignition, a modified Edelbrock Torker intake manifold with a modified Holley 800 double pumper, hand built exhaust manifolds and Banks forged 110-inch reverse deflector, 8. 5:1 pistons. Clearly this was not an easy bolt on application. Banks also used their own turbo grind Hydraulic camshaft for excellent throttle response with mid-range/top end power.
