There is no question that in the 1967-72 and the 1973-1987 GM truck line up, the short wheelbase fleet side is now the most sought-after styling on the market. This truck has undergone a full frame off restoration, with pictures to show, about two years ago and is show ready. During the restore, the frame was powder coated and even the nuts and bolts were replaced, along with the body mounts. This is pretty much a new truck when referencing the age of the frame, nuts and bolts, paint, interior, wheels and tires, and even the windshield is new. Powering this C10 is a new GM crate 350 CID V8 with less than 5k miles on it that is mated to the rebuilt and original automatic transmission and rear end. GM changed it up in 1958 with all the cars following the 50s styling mantra of bigger, wider and lower! For 58 Chevrolet exemplified this philosophy to the utmost. Gone was the now 'classic' Hollywood good looks of the smaller, more restrained 1957 Chevy. In its place was a much bigger, more powerful and brash car. With acres of chrome, Dual headlights and a wide chrome laden grill, Chevy was clearly aiming for Cadillac with the looks of the new 58 Chevys!

This 58 Bel Air is not only significant because of it's one-year body style, but because it sports the now famous - first of the Big Blocks - the Turbo Thrust 348ci V8. Good for 250 horsepower and 355 foot pounds of torque, this stump puller was perfect for the bigger, heavier 1958 Chevys. With a manual it made the car a force to be reckoned with on the streets and the strip and with a 2-speed power glide; the perfect lazy American cruiser - with power to spare. This car was optioned with the power glide automatic, making it a great family cruiser.

This car started off as a Super Deluxe Convertible model then made into a roadster by eliminating the side windows. The body is completely custom and most importantly, original steel with all seams welded shut and smoothed. Ford Focus headlights were molded into the front fenders, which takes a ton of work to get the metal to match on both lights. This is a very professional and custom build that turns heads everywhere it goes. The front and rear bumpers have been removed, the front grille was replaced with a Faux tubing that prevents damage, and the rear taillights were also integrated into the body as well. The current owner bought the car from a private owner in Arizona (with documentation). Since then, the current owner had the car repainted in GM paint, Cyber gray, and also changed the Tweed interior out for a nice tan leather. During this restoration process the bed was removed and the frame and body was painted. This truck is a second owner that originally came from Illinois.

The stock engine has been replaced with a 350 cubic inch GM crate motor from Summit Racing. The engine has a custom cam and Headman headers. The top of the engine includes a GM performance parts intake manifold. The outside exterior has beautiful orange, yellow and red striping that has been painted on. Cragar wheels complete the exterior package. The interior of this 1984 C10 has been refinished as well with black leather and orange, yellow and red stitching. This car is powered by a 230 CID inline 6-cylinder engine from a 1966 Chevrolet II mated to a 700R4 automatic transmission and pushed by 3. 42 gearing. Upgrades have been completed to make this car more drivable, including its 12-volt conversion, power brakes with duel line master cylinder, and even seat belts. The two-tone Mint green and cream paint by Sherwin Williams sits on original panels without replacements needing to be installed. Matching restored factory wheels with trim rings and center caps are wrapped in Cokar white wall tires that offset the paint nicely. This car even comes with some pictures before the restoration to show the quality of the body before paint was applied.
