1963 Chevrolet Nova SS

This Orange, with Fawn interior, 1963 Nova SS is powered by a 454 CID V8 engine with a 3-Speed Automatic transmission.

1963 Chevrolet Nova SS

The Nova name was utilized for the top trim level of Chevrolet's Chevy II compact car and was first used in 1962. These Nova Hardtop Coupes are arguably some of the coolest-looking 1960s-era cars out there, thanks to their clean body lines, and nearly everyone who sees one on the road gives the thumbs up to their occupants. This particular Chevy II started life as a six-cylinder car; but as most restored Novas get treated, this one received a serious injection of steroids. This car is powered by a very potent 454 CID V8 engine, which is topped by a Holley 4BBL carb and aluminum intake. One doesn't need to look too closely to see that it's also sporting the requisite plumbing for its NOS system, as well as the braided steel fuel lines that are fed by the Holley electric fuel pumps out back. The monster V8 is backed by an equally capable GM TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, which sends its power to the Ford 9' rear end. A set of coated Lemons headers scavenge the spent fossils into the muscular-sounding dual exhaust system, and a huge aluminum radiator helps keep this beast cool in traffic. Drivers will appreciate the...

1963 Chevrolet Nova

This Red, with Tan interior, 1963 Nova is powered by a 383 CID V8 engine with an Automatic transmission.

1963 Chevrolet Nova

Over the years what car has been transformed more than the Chevy, 'Deuce? ' From grandma's car, to old school hot rod, local drag racer, or full blown Restomod, the Chevy II's have done it all. This candy apple red 'First Gen' is one solid cruiser. 327 callouts reside on the front fenders, but under the hood, lying in wait, is a BluePrint 383ci stroker with a bad attitude. American Racing Torque Thrust wheels help in creating the correct look and Flowmaster exhaust create just the right sound. Real car guys will tell you, keeping it simple is often the best route to take and this little deuce is clean and mean.
