1970 Jaguar XKE

Pushing into the late 50s and early 60s Jaguar was working on a new car with factory equipment that would bring about massive changes in the automotive industry. Such items like independent front suspension, rack and pinion steering, disc brakes and unitary construction and more really set this Jag apart. The E-Type in the UK or the XKE as it would become known in North America was unveiled in 1961 and would see 3 generations or series until 1974 and would be touted as one of the most beautiful cars ever made. Here we have a '70 model, next to last year of the 2nd Series. The navy-blue paint looks really nice as it should being repainted in 2017. The beige leather goes well with the exterior and is in great order. Powering this car stated to be the original 4. 2L, rebuilt and bored to a 4. 7L and backed by a smooth shifting 5-speed manual transmission. The car runs and drives out very well!
