This Suburban is truly a one of a kind build. This ride is powered by a crate Cummins 4B-Turbo Diesel engine that puts out 265Lb-Ft of torque at only 1800 RPM! Another great feature is that the engine is hooked up to a 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission allowing the truck to get over 30MPG on the highway. The engine was originally designed to replace the Chevy small block in step and delivery vans and is nearly a drop in replacement. Starting in 1948 Dodge released there and first post war truck, the B series. Available in several variants from the B1-B 1/2 ton little trucks all the way to huge people movers known as Suburban-s. The flathead engines were rated anywhere from 95 to 108 hp. This one has come long way from those flathead days now boasting a 4. 3 V6 that easily pouts out double those numbers. The truck was built with the intent to drive it and if you ever drove a 50 Dodge truck comfort is not one of their strong points. With that being said the decision was made to sit the Dodge body on top of a 98 S10 chassis. It would then have all the comforts you want in daily life with the look to compete in a car show on the weekend. A cab was sourced as well as a chassis and the fab work would begin.
