When you sometimes have trouble finding the car of your dreams, you just have to go out and build it. Such is the case with this Impala SS Tribute Convertible. Finding a convertible needing to be restored, the owner also scored what he thought was a W series big block 348 engine. Since this was going to be a tribute car, the 348 would give the right look. The 348 was sent off to the Machine for a rebuild.

This '39 Chevy is one ready to be taken to any local car show and be the talk of the night. Starting the night off would be the eye-popping paint. The orange, and cream color mesh well together and distinguishes it from everything else on the road. Separating the two colors are custom graphics done by Pat Maxwell of Maxwell Auto Design.
