The Malibu/Chevelle has always been one of Chevrolet's crown jewels of the muscle car era. Nothing has ever quite matched the styling and driving feel of the late 60's Chevelles. While they changed shape and evolved throughout the years they maintained a menacing presence on the streets and won America's heart. Chevelle and Malibu fans will argue what the best year is for styling, however it doesn't seem to matter what year the car is as long as it is clean and has the right paint. Luckily, this Malibu is in amazing shape and is wearing the famous Marina Blue paint job! She came into the showroom showing 90,400 miles on the odometer and looks good enough to have rolled right off of the showroom floor! This Classic 3100 boasts a 327 small block Chevrolet engine paired with a 350 automatic turbo transmission. The solid body was stripped to bare metal and refinished in this beautiful blue base/clear finish by a body and paint specialist with 45 years of experience. Incredible attention to detail throughout this truck that make it pop. Including chromed bumpers, grille, and trim were installed. The bed was fitted with new oak wood, stained in light walnut and sealed with UV resistant marine lacquer accenting the quality of this restoration. Custom Bonspeed wheels were added 17'' on front/20'' on the rear and lowered to complete the Restomod look. Tri-Five Chevy's have stood the test of time that all car enthusiasts can appreciate. From movies like American Graffiti to Two Lane Black Top these cars were the scene stealers. This 150 2 Door Post is an older restoration that has been tastefully done and still looks good today. The steel body is all original with only New Old Stock Fender s being used during the restoration. The rust-free body was then painted a beautiful two-tone gray and burgundy combination. Many people will say that 1962 was the best looking Chevy ever. A much bigger bolder car than the tri -five ever was. With the introduction of the 409 late in 1961 no one had any idea just how big if an event this would be. If it was not for those 142 409 Bel Airs Chevrolet may never have got into the Muscle car arena. Needless to say they did and the rest is history. The 62 would combine that overwhelming style with the monstrous 409 power and give you a car so bad that the Beach Boys had to write a song about it. This 1962 is a perfect replica of what the 409's were all about, no frills with nothing but raw power. This 62 has started life as just the basic run of the mill Chevy however once the high end rotisserie build was completed a spitting image of a true 62 409 was born.
