Price My Classic

For the 1941 and 42 model years Chevrolet offered these vehicles with their 'Victory Six' 216 CID inline 6 engine. Power output for 41 was rates at a whopping 85 horsepower at 3,300 RPM (courtesy Wikipedia. ) This particular example runs and drives incredibly well. This vehicle doesn't feel like one that was left sitting neglected. It seems like a vehicle that was maintained and driven with reasonable regularity. The car appears to be in mostly survivor condition, but we are betting is has been repainted at least once.

Gratefully, the electrical has been upgraded to a 12-volt system with a modernized ignition coil. This makes starting the car a breeze, and much easier to maintain in our opinion. This car leaves little to be desired. It...

Exterior.

We see a nice application of many gallons of maroon paint, well-worked bulbous steel panels, and plenty of well-preserved trim spears, bumpers, badging, and brite-work. In 1946 fenders still protruded from the main body, and a running board became a flared rocker, but the curved steel styling remained, and it would be a few more years until the fenders would melt into the bodies. Maroon steel wheels sport chrome trim rings, and dog dish hub caps, and are wrapped in wide whites all around.

Interior.

Very nice vertical stitched and tactile broadcloth in a mixture of light and dark gray covers the door panels, with just a hint of carpet on the bottom. Nice shiny knobs and handles are in this tactile field of broadcloth....

This great 'barn find' deluxe was originally purchased by a body shop owner for his own personal fun restoration project. Unfortunately the body shop fell onto some hard times and the vehicle had to be sold part way through which is where its current owner picked up the restoration. Luckily the previous owner got the chance to do what he was good at, and believe us it shows in the paint and body work on this great vintage cruiser. Done in a deep black that is set off by a host of chrome, this great Deluxe is a great asset to anyone's collection. When this vehicle was sold to the new owner she was still disassembled and through years of love and car has been brought back and ready to roll. The interior was completed by Gus's upholstery in Belle Glade FL, using period correct materials from the seats to the headliner, she's as close as you'll come...

By the late 1940's most automobile manufacturers were still producing similar cars to the pre-war models but by 1949 Ford had something very new in the works and the round iconic '50's styling was being created. There is no mistaking this car as the bullet nose front grill let you know a Ford is coming down the road.

Powering this maroon beauty is the original flathead V8 with a 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Driving this car will certainly give you a blast from the past and is ready to turn some heads. In addition to being a smooth and quiet running car it has been maintained to be very roadworthy and features a new clutch, new brakes and new radial tires.
