This car is from the first year of production of these cars. Designed on mopars famed B-body platform these were designed as a Mid size luxury car. They were designed to compete with the AMC Ramblers, Ford Mustangs and Plymouth Barracudas. This example is graced with a 383 cubic inch big block and 4 speed manual transmission, giving this luxury car some much needed muscle. The exterior of the car is painted a copper color complemented by its aggressive looking grill and hideaway headlight gives this car a unique appearance. This generation Charger adopted Chrysler's new 'fuselage' styling theme, becoming much more rounded and swoopy on the sides. The Rallye was built to replace the Charger RT 440 six-pack. The hidden headlights and unique roof set this Charger apart from the rest. The 440 4barrel magnum engine cranked out 280 horsepower which is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission and runs to a Dana 60rear-end. This was an option only available with the combination 440/4 speed heavy-duty suspension and 3. 54 rear gear ratio.
