The second generation of the Trans Am moved from the coke bottle body style to a more updated body style with a lower longer look. In 1977 emissions restrictions tightened which means '76 was the last of the 'big cubes birds. ' This particular T/A is exactly that; boasting its original 455 CID V8. Backing the beast is a Turbo Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission with 2500 stall, Raybestos clutch plates and external cooler. Both engine and trans were rebuilt 24,000 miles ago. Cooling in this bad boy is taken care of by the high pressure water pump mated to the griffin radiator. Finishing off the high performance looks in the engine bay are the custom offenhauser high rise aluminum valve covers.
