These original E-Series flat nose trucks were only built from 1961 to 1967. The Econoline Pickup was a 2 door variation of the 1st Generation Ford and Mercury Econoline 3-dr vans. In the first year of production 15,000 pickups were made and sold. It's early success led to adoption from competitors including the classic Dodge A-100 van and pickup models. This little E100 Deluxe was treated to a very nice Black/Red 2-tone paint scheme that just screams for attention - the shine is near blinding - and with the very nice trim and new front bumper - she is a looker! One would think she was done last week -she shows that well! The consignor states the 170 6-cylinder engine has been rebuilt, along with the 3-speed transmission, but is unaware how many miles ago. We can tell you, she runs as she should, and drives very well for a nice front axle truck. Inside is a carbon copy of the exterior, with upgraded Black/Red insert vinyl buckets, headliner, and new carpet - again looks barely used!
