Streetrod is a term given to particularly to pre war cars that have been heavily customized/modified both mechanically and aesthetically. If that-s the case this 41 is a textbook Streetrod if there ever was one. The body has had some modifications with the most notable being the huge section taken out of the roofline. It looks as if an easy 3. 5 inches was taken out given the car an extremely different much sleeker look. Covered in a one off black cherry, heavy on the cherry, paint the exterior of the car shows very nicely. Under the hood is where the mechanical side of things comes into play. The classic tried and true small block has replaced the old inline 6 that would have been typically found there. The high revving roller motor runs string and are known for their reliability. I really like that the components of the motor are little different than most. The Wieland intake is a very good piece but not one you normally see. Chrysler bought Plymouth in 1928 but did not start using the name until 1929. It would be in direct competition with the likes of Ford and Chevrolet who pretty much owned the entry level car market. Plymouth was bringing a lot to the table with its heavy duty hydraulic braking an option you could not even get with Ford or Chevy. Boss Hoss Cycles was founded in 1990 in Dyersburg TN. They started the company by placing V8 engines in a custom motorcycle chassis and the recipe made for instant success. Production has steadily increased and the lineup has added new models with more advanced technology. This particular Trike features a ZZ4 385 HP 350 CID V8. 385 HP is a lot in a full sized car, and it's an absolute blast in a trike like this. One this that makes this Boss Hoss different from all the others is the 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission. The majority of these trike came with a TH350 trans, but this one was a test of the 4 speed transmission. The frame was stretched to make room for the larger unit, but everything was done in the Boss Hoss factory.
