This is not a repainted truck with an engine swap, this truck has been fully disassembled, re-plated, refinished, and rebuilt to make this truck better than it was when it rolled off the assembly line. The idea for this truck originally was to set up the truck to pull a 1955 Airstream trailer, and it has been engineered to do so with ease. It could easily be used for similar purposes like towing a vintage boat, hauling a vintage race car, or even driven as a mobile billboard. In 1955, the 2nd series was offered as a 7' or 9' bed; however, this 1955 body sits on a 1971 Chevrolet C20 frame assembly. 1971 was the first year that Chevrolet offered front wheel disc brakes on its pickups. The C20 would have had an 8' bed, so this is truly a unique build in the most literal sense - 1 of 1.
