1966 Chevrolet Nova

The Nova name was utilized for the top trim level of Chevrolet's Chevy II compact car and was first used in 1962. In 1966, the Chevy II received a major facelift, with significant changes made to the car's design. The '66-'67 Nova Hardtop Coupes are arguably some of the cleanest-looking 1960s-era cars out there, with their combination of 'straights and curves' in the body design (especially the Hardtop Coupe's lack of a B-pillar), and nearly everyone who sees one on the road gives the thumbs up to their occupants. In addition to the physical changes, the 1966 Nova also could be had with a 350HP 327 CID V8, marking the beginning of the Nova as an affordable muscle car. This particular Chevy II started life as a six-cylinder car; but as most restored Novas get treated, this one received a laundry list of upgrade goodies, as well as a serious injection of steroids. This car is powered by a very potent professionally built 500HP 383 CID V8 engine, which is backed by an equally capable 700R4 transmission (with 2800 RPM stall converter), and 3:73:1 gears in its Posi-equipped 12-bolt rear end.
