1967 Pontiac Firebird
View Description
The Pontiac Firebird was introduced in 1967 and intended to compete with the Ford Mustang. The name -Firebird- actually dates back to several GM concept car designs from the 1950-s. The 1967 Firebird shared many styling cues with it-s cousin, the Chevrolet Camaro, although the Firebird-s bumpers were integrated into the design of the front end. Base models came equipped with a 230 ci inline-six engine although most buyers opted for one of three V8 options. The top of the line was a 400 cid monster shared with the Pontiac GTO and rated at 325 horsepower. This Black Cherry 1967 Pontiac Firebird features a replacement 400 V8 mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. The owner reports 3,000 miles since the rebuild. This total frame-off restoration features new 4-wheel disc brakes...
