1960 was the debut of Chevrolet's C/K series pickups even though the Apache nameplate remained. The 'C', which is what we have here, denoted two wheel drive and the 'K-, would denote 4. 1960 was the first year to have independent front suspension which gives this panel a great ride. This particular Panel truck has been completely redone from top to bottom. The little 283 has been pulled and in its place sets a very healthy 454 big block that has been dressed up with some chrome accessories such as valve covers, alternator, and a breather with an exposed breather element to top everything off. Mated up to the big block is one of the most popular transmissions that has ever been built, a Turbo 400. Not only does this give you an unreal amount of low end grunt but it is geared to also give you the option to actually cruise at highway speeds.
