Introduced as the Advance Design series of trucks in 1947, this era of Chevrolet pick up was the first major redesign in the GM truck lineup since WW2. This very iconic design of pickup came with the same cab configuration over 3 sizes of frames, ranging from 1/2 ton to full ton capacity. This beautiful black on black has been gorgeously restored and modified to be a great show piece as well as a driver. Long gone is the standard beam axle front end, instead both front end and rear have been replaced with more modern Dodge Dakota running gear. Equipped up front with independent front suspension and disc brakes, this old cruiser can stop and handle like a modern day pick up. Since the Dodge Dakota offered a V8 option you will find that compared to the more common S10 front end swaps, the Dakota running gear is more adept at handling the weight of the small block up front without sacrificing handling, making this one of the more pleasant driving 3100 we-ve seen.
