The Prowler was a production model that ran from 97, 99-02 ad with only 11702 made it is no wonder they have become highly collectible as of late. Originally inspired from Chip Foose-s Hemisfear which is the car that really put Foose on the map. The first thing you will notice on this low mileage beauty is its extremely slick black paint job. The 1971 Corvette was one of the least changed 'Vettes in appearance due to a labor dispute cutting the 1970 model year short by over four months. This particular example is in pristine condition, having its original color War Bonnet Yellow that has had a repaint which matches the black vinyl buckets perfectly. The chrome bumpers on this beauty look like new and are what really sets the early C3 Vettes apart from the change to the molded fiberglass after 1972. Originally designed to be used in WWII, Dodge 3/4 ton military trucks had a consumer based spin off they referred to as the Power Wagon. Way back in 1948, some consider this to be the first civilian 4x4. They used a fully enclosed weatherproof 'single' cab, and added an 8 foot cargo bed. The typical power plant of the time would've been a massive flat head straight six, a 4 speed manual, and a 2 speed transfer case. The massive weight and size, as well as the low gearing, limited the truck to slow speeds, but allowed it to traverse any terrain you could imagine with ease. This particular Power Wagon has been beefed up quite a bit in the engine department. This one now sports a 454 CID V8 which has been recently rebuilt with new pistons, headers, roller cam, roller rockers, and a new carburetor. Power is estimated around 400 HP. The big block Chevy mates up to a TH400 transmission which was also recently rebuilt. The body has been completely frame off restored, repaired, and straightened.
