The 1941 Plymouth trucks differed little from the re-designed 1939 model, and for good reason as Chrysler realized that its truck market would not last for long due to Ford and Chevrolet already having the market cornered. The 1939 Plymouth trucks had been completely revamped with a new cab and different styling giving its trucks more of a huskier look. The new design was not met with much success as the 1941 model year would be the last year that Chrysler would produce a truck until the 1970-s. Regardless, the PT-125 was a very efficient and reliable half ton truck, having a 201 cubic inch L-Head inline 6 cylinder engine which developed 85 1/2 horsepower and 160 lb. ft. of torque.
