1967 was the last year for the first generation GOAT which is arguably the first true muscle car. It was also the year for a lot of firsts. The 400 CID was introduced this year which was basically the popular 389 just punched out a little. This was done primarily to increase torque due to the increasing weight of the now very luxurious GTO. It was also the first year that body molding along with the now classic 6. 6 liter emblem. This 67 GTO is very rare being that it is an actual post car. Pontiac had only built a little over 7000 post cars with many of them being pulled apart upon delivery to stuff huge cubic inch motors in to go drag racing. This numbers matching car has the original 335 HP 400 in it that was rebuilt less than 1500 miles ago. It was bored. 040 over with a new set of pistons, rings, and bearings installed as well. 1969 marked the introduction of Dodge into the now booming pony car market. Built using Chrysler's E platform and sharing many major components of the 'CUDA' the Challenger was a runaway success. Now with the coveted 69 - 71 models bringing huge money the 73's are beginning to gain popularity and demand. This stunning one of a kind Challenger boast its original 318 under the hood but it sure doesn't sound like it. With help from a set of Hooker header's feeding a dual set of 2. 5 inch pipes all the way back this 318 sounds like no other. The healthy street cam that was installed gives this 'little' V8 an excellent lope making you swear it's got a big block under the hood. Transferring all this power is MOPAR's greatest transmission to date, the 727 Torq flite. Controlled through the factory center console mounted shifter this Challenger is ready to either cruise the street or hit the strip. After barely surviving the 80's with overweight and underpowered cars Chevrolet was looking for a breath of fresh air in there supercar lineup and oh boy did they find it. It all started back in 86 when GM acquired Group Lotus and decided they wanted to build the fastest production car and it was to be based on the C4 vetted. What they came up with was a revolutionary, high powered, all aluminum, twin cam, V8 dubbed the LT5. With a standard cost 31k the c4 Corvette was a great buy but when you added the 31k ZR1 option plus whatever the dealer was tacking on everyone could see that this was going to be a very limited production vehicle. They were right with only 6500 being built in its 6 year run. This particular one has extremely low miles showing a little over 13k. It does have all the paperwork you could want including the original window sticker as well as the infamous 'pizza box'. Those days are long gone for this 39 with a complete tear down and custom build it is definitely far from what Chevrolet had envisioned so long ago. The exterior has been treated with a custom Ford Regatta Blue Paint that has been broken up with a custom marble pinstripe that gives the car a very custom feel. The chrome has a very clean and finely polished look with a mirror finish. Open the hood and you will see one of the hot rodder-s go to pieces. A small block Chevy that has been bored. 030 over giving it a total of 355 Cubic inches. A set of 882 heads were added giving it plenty of low end grunt.
