The 72 Challenger is what many people consider to be the last year for a true Challenger. The body lines are very similar to the 70 models with subtle changes here and there which add up to a noticeable difference to the trained eye. If you can live with these slight differences you can pick up one of these beauty-s for a lot less than your 70 and even 71 models. This 72 is a fitting example of how you can get a nice Challenger for a fraction of the cost. Originally born as a 318 car this MOPAR has had a heart transplant to a much more respectable 340 CI high revving super responsive small block. The aftermarket Edelbrock intake and huge Holley carb probably have a lot to do with that extra power. Of course, with extra fuel you-re going to have more exhaust to get rid of so a set of headers was added giving very little restriction to the true dual exhaust system.
