The first year of the Buick Riviera, 1963, was Buicks original entry into the Luxury Sport Coupe offerings. This first year offering features the Buick Wildcat 445 Nailhead V8 engine with 401 cubic inches (6. 6 litres) and 325 HP with a single 4 barrel carburetor, Twin Turbine automatic transmission and dual exhaust. The personal luxury features include driver and passenger bucket seats with center console with floor shifter. Rear seat passengers are treated to bucket style seats also. Interior is finished in Blue vinyl and cloth with many chrome accents. Standard and optional features include Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power windows and vent windows, Power drivers seat, rear window defroster and a tilt steering column. Safety was not forgotten either, as a padded dash and factory lap belts are present. The exterior is finished in Arctic White with the optional Knock off style wire wheel covers and radial tires.
