The GTO is arguably Pontiac's most famous model of all time and was the inspiration for one heck of a marketing campaign, countless songs and even a men's cologne! The GTO also carried many nick names such as 'The Goat', 'The Great One' and after 1969 'The Judge'. The GTO story starts back in 1963 when up and coming Pontiac executive John DeLorean produced a simple yet revolutionary idea; drop a big motor into a midsized body and gear it towards young adults.
