The Plymouth GTX was introduced in 1967 as Plymouth's big-block performance model for the muscle car market. Based on a two-door Belvedere hardtop and convertible, the 'new' GTX came equipped with air grabber hood scoops, a special grille and tail panel, and 'pit stop' chrome gas cap. A quintessential muscle car, the Plymouth GTX continues to impress collectors with its speed, power, and cubic inches.
This 1970 GTX has went under a full rotisserie restoration completed only a year ago and retains the original numbers matching 440 cubic inch, 6-pack V8 that pushes out 390 horsepower and has been recently rebuilt during the full restoration. Backing up the big block powerhouse is the numbers matching A727 Torque Flight automatic transmission which shifts nice and smooth through all 3 speeds.
