Cadillac redesigned the Series 62 in 1954 and it has become one of the most desirable body styles offered. They made the body lower and sleeker which made the vehicle appear larger and therefore more luxurious. Features such as a wraparound windshield and an exhaust system that exits through the rear bumper made the vehicle that much more impressive. The Series 62 was available in several bodys, but this example is the 2 door Coupe deVille, which might be referred to as a pillarless hard top. Under the hood is a large 331 CID V8 with a 4 barrel carburetor. This power plant delivered 250 horsepower through a 4 speed Hydromatic automatic transmission.
