At a time when Ford was replacing the small-body Falcon with the Maverick, the Falcon name was actually used on two different cars in 1970, the compact 1970 Falcon and the full-size 19701/2 Falcon. This latter model was produced for less than six months and only available as a two-door 'post' sedan (it has a B-pillar behind the driver door glass), while the Torino and Fairlane has a more extensive body offering. The car you see here was built in Ford's Atlanta, Georgia plant in May 1970, which was getting close to the end of the production for this half-year wonder. Sold originally at Gallo Ford in Chicago for a $3,840 to its current and original owner, this 19701/2 Ford Falcon has less than 6,000 miles. That-s about 127 miles per year!
