The Triumph TR6 (1968-'76) is a British six-cylinder sports car and the best-seller of the TR range built by Triumph when production ended in July 1976. This vintage little 76 TR6 is still sporting its original exterior paint color of Pimento Red with a black leather interior and black top. This Triumph has beautiful black paint and knock off wheel mounting along with a rear shock conversion. This electronic overdrive 4 speed has great running in-line 6 powering this British sports car. The TR6 is a big car compared to many two seaters of the era, and this helps to give it an air of solidity that can be lacking in smaller alternatives. Certainly, there are far fewer rattles than on something like a contemporary Spitfire. There was no rear seat on the TR6, but the cabin was built for two people to travel in fair comfort. There is plenty of elbow room, a convenient luggage space behind the seats and room for lanky legs to stretch. The fixtures and fittings are not opulent, but they do have a fair sense of luxury about them. They are traditional too with the dash layout with the large rev counter and speedo dead ahead with minor gauges mounted centrally harping right back to the TR2. Produced for only one model year, the Michelotti designed TR250, known as the TR5 in Europe, was very similar to the TR4 sports car, albeit a 6-cylinder over the previous car's 4-cylinder engine. While the European TR5 was fitted with Lucas' fuel injection system, the TR250 utilized twin Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. Standard equipment included front disc brakes, independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering and a four-speed gearbox. Just over 8,000 TR250s were produced for the US market and is estimated that less than 600 remain today around the world. The TR250's hp increase over the TR-4A was only 6 ponies, but torque rose from 128 lbft to 152, and at a lower rpm.
