Made extremely popular during the 1950's-1970's, the Volkswagen Beetle has a cult following all its own. Ultimately the Volkswagen Beetle is designed for military simplicity, the cars follow a basic guideline of having a rear mounted engine/transmission, allowing these cars to be built, broken down, and then rebuilt within the same day no matter what might happen to it. The engine is an air cooled 1500cc 4 cylinder, which despite not having the same horsepower levels as most cars of this era, does a great job of showing itself off due to how lightly engineered it is. The transmission is a 4-speed manual transmission, original to the car as well as the engine, and is just as fundamental and well built as the day it rolled off the factory floor.
