The 74 Corvette was the first year for all rubber bumpers all around. Gone were the now infamous chrome bumpers of the early C3's but the new heavily sloped rear was an instant success and a staggering 37000 Corvette's were sold that year. Although HP was down you could still get a fairly potent LS4 Big block putting out around 270 ponies but a ground pounding 380 FTLB turning the Corvette into a true tire shredder. This 74 was lucky enough to have one of those elusive LS4's when it left the factory. Somewhere along the way that motor was taken out and now when the Stingray hood is tilted forward a completely different animal is now lurking under the hood. It's still a big block but this one has had a little work done to it. Bored out to a massive 468 CID this beast has the power to put you back in the seat and keep you there. The Turbo 400 transmission feels strong and with firm positive up shifts and no problem going into any gear. With the fiberglass body covered in a deep red paint and the stinger style hood accented in a midnight black the finish...
