This Trans Am from the --70-s, that has been properly maintained, with only items needing to rebuilt or replaced being attended to and it just has 91211 miles on the odometer, though we cannot verify this to be actual, this TA doesn-t look to any hard miles put on it. The Oldsmobile 403 that many of these T/A-s had, is the original engine, and still runs strong. The TH400 3-speed automatic transmission backs up the 403 to insure performance and reliability. The rear end is a factory posi-trac unit. This is an original factory AC car and the interior looks great and looks to be original as well. This is a museum quality, 2 owner example of a 25th Anniversary Trans Am, and it only has 4,013 miles! There were just 2,000 of these 25th Anniversary T/As produced, 250 were convertibles and 1,750 were hardtops. A few were borrowed and outfitted as Pace Cars for the 1994 Daytona 500 as well. A 5. 7L 350 CID LT1 V8 engine that produced 275 horsepower was the only engine option, and a fine one at that. They were offered with either a six speed manual or a 4L60-E automatic transmission. This particular T/A features the smooth shifting and highly capable 4L60-E transmission. The 4L60-E provides the driver with a choice of running characteristics. With the simple push of a button, 'Transmission Perform' button, the upshifts become more firm and quick, while the manual downshifts are faster. Nineteen sixty-nine was the last year of the very successful first-generation Firebird. Both the Firebird and Camaro were built on the same F-body platform, but some would say the Firebird with its integrated front chrome bumpers and GTO inspired taillights, was the more stylish of the two. For 1969 This -69 Firebird is covered in a gorgeous Blue exterior, that still shines as if new. The exterior chrome shines brightly and along with the rest of the exterior metal trim presents itself as nearly flawless. Inside this 69 Firebird you will find a wonderfully preserved two-tone white and blue vinyl interior with wood grain center console. This center console houses the shifter for the three-speed automatic and also a custom built-in modern Stereo-CD player. Carpet and Firebird floor mats appear newer as well. To understand how rare of a vehicle this is, it's best to break the numbers down. The total production of Pontiac Firebirds in 2002 was 30,690. Of those, only 1,176 were Tran Am convertibles with ram air and a 6-speed transmission. To increase the rarity, this Trans Am is sporting a coat of Sunset Orange Metallic paint. This 1979 Starlite Black Bandit Trans Am has the original number matching motor and transmission.
