The Camaro has been a long running American Muscle car, and still brings a lot of attention today. Restored by 'Gear Jammin Classics' in 2016, this car is ready for the road. Listen to this Camaro rumble with its 383 CID V8 Stroker that's been paired to a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. Power is driven through the LPW 12-bolt rear end with locker and features 4. 10 gearing. The added Sniper fuel injection system makes that possible, and the car fires up in no time. When its owner purchased the car, it was painted Butternut Yellow and had a black interior. However, during the cowl tag decoding, its owner and his brother (who is a GM engineer) discovered that it was originally Fathom Blue and had a Medium Blue 'standard bucket seat' interior. Since restoration was already planned for this car, the decision was to go back to its original paint color, because it was a very rare color for 1968 Camaros. It turns out that roughly 1. 3% of all 1968 Camaros were painted Fathom Blue. Since a blue exterior and blue interior was 'too much blue' for its owner, he left the interior black, the way it was when he acquired it. He took it to Camaro Concepts in Houston in 2013 for the restoration, which was quite comprehensive. He had them completely disassemble the body to take it back to Fathom Blue. Since the original 'hockey stripe' was white, he kept that the way it was. However, the original black vinyl top was changed to a much more attractively contrasting white to match the hockey stripe better. With only 2500 miles on the build, this beast is ready to rumble for a long time to come. Lurking under the hood is a fire-breathing fuel injected 396 CID V8, backed by a built GM TH400 3-speed automatic, sending all of that power out back to a new Currie 9' rear end with 3. 50:1 gears and Posi-Trac. The big 396 is topped with a FAST throttle-body fuel injection setup, which really makes it suitable for a regular-use car. Further enhancing its daily-driver potential is a massive BeCool aluminum radiator with electric cooling fans to keep it running cool. An MSD ignition system enhances the spark delivery to ensure every bit of that fuel is taken advantage of in the combustion chambers. Ceramic-coated Hooker headers scavenge the exhaust into a 3-inch dual exhaust with FlowMaster mufflers, and they all add up to produce that menacing muscle car sound that one would expect from a car that looks this capable.

Keeping all of that performance capability under control and the car glued to the pavement are QA1 coilovers up front and QA1 shocks out back, tubular A-arms up front, drop spindles, power 4-wheel disc brakes and CPP power steering.

The factory rally wheels really set the car off, especially when paired with the cowl hood and that infamous 302 emblem sitting on top. Powered by a very angry 355 horse power, zz4 Chevrolet crate 350 ci V8 and backing the beast is a 700r 4 speed automatic transmission. Mated with a 12 bolt rear end. Between the cool multi-hued paint scheme with its hand-done flames and striping, the massive big block engine, and custom Chris Alston chassis, this very custom build is ready to rock! This bad boy was painted by Zimmerman Custom Paint and Body in St. Leon, IN, and the paint scheme of silver over blue with custom flame work looks great over its sapphire-colored accents (which include the 2'X3' Alston Chassis and third member being painted to match the sapphire accents on the rear valance).

Under the hood of this beast is a stout 468 CID V8 engine, based on a. 030' over-bored 454, which is topped by a polished aluminum dual-quad intake with a pair of polished Edelbrock 4BBL carbs. Aluminum GM Performance heads complete the top end. Headers with massive primaries funnel the spent fossils into its 3-inch side-exit dual exhaust. The big 468's power is sent to the rear end via a Bowtie reverse manual valve body 700R4 automatic transmission with lockup converter, which spins a Strange Engineering drive shaft.
