This impeccable build is a salute to one of the finest and rare muscle cars of the true muscle car era. GM corporate edict did not allow Chevrolet from installing engines larger than 396 ci; however, a few dealers were installing 427ci V8's to the point where it caused Chevrolet to use an order process normally reserved for fleet and special orders. Two Central Office Production Orders (COPO) were offered in the 1969 model year. This build is the result of much investment and remarkable effort to make this car as exact a COPO match as possible. The result is astounding in accuracy, condition, and performance. This car was purchased in 1997 in Kentucky as a vewy nice stock SS RS survivor before the work began on this beauty to turn it into this immaculate Baldwin Motion COPO tribute.
This 1969 SS RS COPO tribute is powered by a 427ci V8 4-bolt engine (3963512 casting number, dated Nov. 9th, 1968) and built by White's Performance in Kingsford, Tennessee in 2013.
