In 1948 Ford entered into the truck market in a big way by finally offering a chassis specific for truck use and that is when the F-Series was first born! Here we have a '49 Model, second year of development and an F2 version which is the 3/4 ton model. The green paint shows well from a distance but upon closer inspection you will see blemishes, scuffs, scrapes, cracking in spots but she can get the job done for an older restoration. The green and tan interior is in good order. Under the hood is a 350ci V8 running the power out through a 350 3-speed automatic transmission. The two big exhaust stacks give the truck a cool look and sure sounds great. I was impressed with how well it runs and drives. Current owner has had it for over 3. 5 years, acquired from a private owner in West Virginia. That former owner is the one that built and stated to be the first owner, so perhaps only a 2-owner truck. This F2 is built on a K20 frame and axles.
