The American automotive industry had several challenges in its infancy as a result of the great depression and World War 2, despite these and other internal issues they still managed to build many great cars including this 36- Coupe. Cars built in this time was simple, built to last and had very limited luxuries. Let-s face it men was really men in those days! In the 20-s Chevrolet had their work cut out for them during the reign of Fords model A and T cars, but by the mid 1930-s Chevrolet brought about several new designs including a new powerful 206 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder that really set them apart and got them noticed.
