Bringing back fond childhood memories of one favorite movies, Smokey & the Bandit, is the 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. This is partially restored Trans Am from the --70-s, that has been properly maintained, with only items needing to rebuilt or replaced being attended to and it just has over 116,037 original miles. The Pontiac 400, not the Oldsmobile 403 that many of these T/A-s had, was rebuilt 2500 miles ago and is the original engine. The TH350 3-speed automatic transmission was also rebuilt at the same time the engine was rebuilt. The rear end is a factory posi-trac unit. This is an original factory AC car, the air blows cold, it now uses the more common and affordable 134A Freon. This T-top beast is a bruiser that's ready to hit up the local strip, show, or cruise in. This Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am is a real torque monster, with a built 454 cubic inch big block V8. It has been built and dressed, with: Edelbrock performance air intake, Edelbrock 750 CFM carburetor, mild performance camshaft, Holley fuel pump, dual roller timing chain set, Milodon high volume oil pump, chrome 100 amp alternator, and more. It's backed by a turbo 475 automatic transmission. With only 400 miles on the build, the drivetrain is heavy duty, just broken in, and ready for a driver! The body is nice driver quality, with black paint and the epic Gold Trans Am Firebird on the hood. Take off the T-tops and you'll feel like you're back in the 80s! Powered by a strong running 400 CID Pontiac V8 paired with a smooth shifting 3-speed automatic transmission, this Trans-Am is ready to roll. This Firebird also has a rather unique option not often discussed; known as the -Rallye Shifter,- it was essentially a factory ratchet shifter. After numerous blown engines from street racers pushing the gear shift from 1st to neutral on accident, this option was introduced in 1969 and was offered on some vehicles to reduce warranty claims.

Unfortunately, the power of late 70s muscle cars never quite matched the good looks. Knowing this, the seller of the vehicle has opted to pump up the power output with a few subtle upgrades. An Edelbrock performance carburetor and aluminum intake were installed to get air pumping into the engine with ease. Pumping it back out is achieved through a set of long tube headers and a custom exhaust system giving this classic --Bird some bite to match...
