Powering this SS Camaro is a 300 horsepower 350 cubic inch small block V8. There were more than a handful of V8s available in 1969. For small blocks, this V8 had the highest rated horsepower. By this time, GM was well known for under rating their horsepower figures. Engine options available for the '69 Camaro started with a six cylinder rated at 155 h. p. , 307 V8 rated at 200 h. p. , 302 V8 (Z/28) rated at 290 h. p. , 327 at 210, three 350s rated at 225, 250 and 300 h. p. and three different 396 big blocks ranging from 325 horsepower to 375 horsepower with optional aluminum heads.
