This car has a very neat history. This car was originally a Riverside California Fire Department vehicle. It served as the Chief's car and was outfitted with lights and sirens and aerials for radios. In 1983 the vehicle had been retired for many years and was purchased at a garage sale still sporting its original but now faded red paint. The vehicle was just a shell at this point, but the only holes were from the lights and antennas because this California car was solid. The car was frame off restored and transformed into the street rod it is today. The beating heart is a high performance 350 CID V8 with Edelbrock intake, 600 CFM carburetor, headers, and stainless dual exhaust. This engine, along with the entire restoration, has only 2,198 miles since being rebuilt. Other goodies include: aluminum radiator, electric cooling fan, MSD ignition, and EZ wiring harness. The engine mates up to a 700R4 automatic transmission with Lokar shifter. The exterior has kept a fairly stock appearance and retains almost all of its original trim.
