The 1949 through 1952 Chevys were among the first of the postwar designs, with a variety of platforms available, including a Fleetline, Styleline, business coupe, and station wagon to fit the needs of any customer. This -51 Chevy has been completely restored and customized, and the build had been completely documented with photos showing the car before and during the restoration. Modifications on this -37 Chevy include rack and pinion steering, front power disc brakes, Accel Super Coil, Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor and intake manifold, a Pioneer AM/FM/CD player, chrome alternator, and chrome air cleaner. 1937 was the beginning of a whole new line of cars for Chevy. Competing with the popular models from Ford, Chevy had the Cast iron wonder, a stout 6 cylinder that could take a beating. Those days are long gone for this 39 with a complete tear down and custom build it is definitely far from what Chevrolet had envisioned so long ago. The exterior has been treated with a custom Ford Regatta Blue Paint that has been broken up with a custom marble pinstripe that gives the car a very custom feel. The chrome has a very clean and finely polished look with a mirror finish. Open the hood and you will see one of the hot rodder-s go to pieces. 1946 thru 1948 so very little changes in the all new Coupe from Chevrolet. Introduced in mid 1941 production would come to halt a short time later so we could prepare for the great war. Brought back into limited production in late 45 but then labor talks would derail it another 6 months making its official start date March of 1946. The wait was worth it as the public loved the new bold lines and styling. With the huge exaggerated front fenders the public was absolutely in love and still are today. The 48 we have is one of the nicest I have seen. The body has had all of the fender lines filled and smoothed giving it a much sleeker appearance. The paint looks great with a nice candy on the bottom complimented by a silver with a nice flake on top is the perfect contrast. Pop the long hood and you are treated to a nicely finished small block that has just the right amount of shine. The firewall has been smoothed as well maintaining the sleek look.
