This is a quality build which put a steel body on a 1955 Chevrolet frame which provides a better ride than the original. The rod runs a 350 CID small block mated up to a 350 automatic transmission. The C5 Corvette was a radical change from the previous generation. Gone were the shakes and rattles of the C4 that had plagued the reputation of the C4 Vette. With its hydroformed box frame the transmission had been moved to the rear of the car giving it almost perfect weight distribution. It also allowed the seats to come up out of the frame rails giving it a much better seating position. This C5 has the LS1 engine that is completely chromed and accented with every accessory from the GM catalog. From the mirrored shock towers to the custom valve covers there was nothing left untouched under the hood. The interior is accented with tasteful red piping which accents the exterior very nicely. In 1967 Chevrolet debuted the first Camaro and could be optioned with both the RS and SS options, as this car did.
