The Mako Shark II concept car brought the idea for the C3 Corvette, which generation was in production from 1968 until 1982. This generation of Corvette was the first to feature T-top removable roof panels. 1977 was the last year the tunneled roof treatment with vertical back window was used, also the first time leather seats were available at no extra cost. Chevrolet remodeled the Corvette in 1977 with a new -Corvette flag- emblems on the front end and fender as well as a new interior console and gauges.
