The 66 Model was the first year for the second generation of the line. They were more like the bigger full-size cars that GM had been pumping out. The humped fenders and angular taillights were defining design ques mimicked from the full-size line up. The car was still considered a subcompact but the intro of the new 327 350 V8 had many scratching their head. However, hotrodders rejoiced as they had been waiting for some time for GM Brass to do just that. The new 327/350 Nova was a street Machine and people ere quick to realize that baby Nova was a great platform for a true Musclecar, and they have been used for high transplants ever since.
