This '66 Thunderbird is powered by a 390 4brl V8. The mileage since being rebuilt is around 500 miles. The Ford 390 and the 3spd automatic transmission were rebuilt, and a new 100 Amp alternator, new voltage regulator, 'Pony' rebuilt carburetor, new fuel pump, new motor mounts, new distributor, new coil and plug wires, new starter, new belts and hoses, and a rebuilt radiator were installed. This Convertible has all new suspension front and rear, all new steering linkages and joints, new exhaust system, one year old Ford Reproduction battery, and reproduction original styled bias ply tires, 815x15 4PR WSW RED BAND, as stated on original Ford window sticker. 1931 Ford 5 Window Coupe. This coupe is painted in a brilliant turquoise with green and black graphics on the side, a design that appears throughout the car. The body has undergone several modifications such as the 4 inch chop that has been done to the roof, custom turn signals that have been frenched into the front fenders and in the rear four teardrop tail lights have been added. The roof is covered with a black vinyl top for a unique look. The interior is finished in turquoise, green and black with the same design from the outside done in the door panels and headliner which holds a Sony radio/tape player. This 34 Ford has a 1961 Chevrolet 348 Tripower engine with matching 3 speed manual transmission. The engine has never been bored and the only change made was adding a mild Isky Solid Lift Cam. The manual transmission on this Ford has a Hurst shifter. The rear end gear ratio is 4. 11. The flywheel and clutch were recently replaced. Cooling this 348 Chevy is a Walker radiator with a fan shroud and manually switched electric fan.
