The C series pickup was Chevrolet's pickup line in 1960. The C series pickup line lasted til 1999. The 1972 models were virtually identical to 1971 models, with the only change being the rear view mirror was attached to the windshield instead of being bolted to top of the cab where water can seep in and cause rust. The 1940's was an interesting era for American Automobile manufacturers. With WWII taking up a lot of the valuable resources, new cars were a bit of an afterthought. American vehicles of the early 40's were free of chrome and fancy options that were more common with foreign vehicles of the time. After '45 however, things started to take off. Materials, manpower, and engineering could now be applied to America's love-affair: the automobile. This '48 Fleetmaster is a nice example of a standard Chevy that has received some nice options to make it a beautiful piece that anyone could be proud of.
