GTOs are what legends are made of and when the Pontiac GTO was introduced to America in September 1963, it created an entirely new market segment that sparked a reaction throughout the auto industry. Today we know that reaction as the muscle-car era. By 1966, all the domestic automobile manufacturers had their response to the GTO. Some were good, some were hastily slapped together, and others missed the mark altogether. This sharp Pontiac started life as a Lemans Sport Coupe (3737 vin) and has been transformed into one of THE MOST iconic muscle cars of all time. 'Here Comes the Judge'- a phrase borrowed from TV's 'Laugh in' TV show back in the day. Pontiac took it from there, with the intent of competing with Plymouth's Road Runner. And for 3 years, Pontiac built The Judge as the top option on the base GTO's, in very limited numbers. The rest is history.

The exterior of this tribute is sprayed in the highly desirable Carousel Red, which is a groovy orange shade. The current owner of this GTO has enjoyed it since 2003 and is finally ready to allow someone else to make some memories in it. Walking around this beauty you should instantly notice the gloss dark Burgundy paint theme, famous double stacked headlights, chrome trim, hood scoop, chrome bumper, and 14' alloy wheels wrapped in Firestone white letter radial tires. This is the real deal GTO, not a clone. Originally an option package for the Pontiac Tempest in 1964 and 1965, the GTO didn't become its own model until 1966. This car is powered by a 389 CID V8, which has been upgraded after the fact with a 'Tri-Deuce' package, with 3x2BBL carburetors, rather than its original single 4BBL carb setup.
